The morning after a Carmel Valley Road tasting day
Most wine-country groups book a single tight window: 7:00 to 10:00 the morning after. The day before is predictable — a driver, four or five tasting rooms in Carmel Valley Village or along the Carmel Valley Road corridor, a long lunch, a late pour at Bernardus, and hours outdoors in valley heat that runs well above what the coast gives you. Almost nobody drinks enough water through it. That leaves a morning where half the party is slow and there is a schedule waiting: a tee time at Quail Lodge, an eleven o'clock checkout, the drive north over Laureles Grade. Running the drips at the house means the group is treated where they woke up, without anyone driving anywhere first. Give us the address, the guest count and the hard cutoff, and we build the window backwards from the cutoff rather than forwards from a hopeful start time.
What a recovery drip does, and what it does not
Here is the honest version. An IV drip replaces fluid and electrolytes quickly and delivers vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. That addresses dehydration, which is a genuine part of how people feel after a long day of tasting in the sun. What it does not do is remove alcohol from the body. Nothing speeds that up except time. A drip is not a treatment for a medical condition, it is not clearance to drive sooner, and it is not a substitute for care if someone is actually unwell. We will not tell your group otherwise, and we would rather set that expectation at quote than have eight people expecting a reset button. Who the PA will decline to treat that morning
Every guest is screened and consented individually, and the PA can decline. That happens more often on a morning-after booking than on any other kind of group we serve, so organisers should know it before they promise anything to their party. We do not place a line in someone who is still visibly intoxicated. We do not treat a guest who is vomiting persistently, has chest pain, is confused, took a head injury the night before, or looks unwell in a way that belongs in an emergency department rather than a guest room. In that case the PA will say so plainly and, if warranted, tell you to call nine one one. This is not negotiable by whoever is paying. If you are host-paying and a guest is declined, you are not billed for a treatment that was not given. Tell your group this the night before so nobody is surprised at the door.
Salinas Valley and River Road groups
Groups touring the Salinas Valley side — the River Road wineries, or a weekend built around the California Rodeo Salinas — usually stay closer to Salinas than to Carmel, and that changes logistics rather than treatments. We serve that side from our Salinas location at 306 Capitol Street, Suite 105, so a group in town has a second option: come to us. A clinic visit avoids the travel fee entirely, and for a party of four or five that is often the better call. Harvest season is worth planning around. Late summer and fall put a lot of agricultural traffic on the valley roads early, and the stretch between six and eight in the morning is not a fast drive. If your cutoff is tight, say so and we will start earlier rather than promise a window we would be racing to hit.
Booking the morning slot
Send four things and we can quote: the address where the group is staying, how many guests, the hard cutoff, and whether you or the guests are paying. Realistic timings help you plan. Shark Attack runs about 40 minutes, Myer's Cocktail about 35, The Basic Boost about 40, and a Methylcobalamin B-12 Energy Boost about 10 minutes at $35 for guests who want something small before a drive. Lipo B is 15 minutes at $50. Add intake and consent for each person on top of the infusion time. How many guests we can run at once depends on staffing for your date, which we confirm in the quote rather than guess at here. How early can you come the morning after?
Earlier than most groups expect. Morning windows are the bulk of what we do for wine-country parties, and we will start ahead of a tee time or a checkout if the schedule needs it. What we ask is that you give us the hard cutoff when you book — the tee time, the checkout, the flight — so we build the window backwards from it rather than discovering it on the day.
