What one drip station occupies in your getting-ready space
The footprint is smaller than most planners expect. A licensed physician assistant needs one comfortable seat for the guest being started, a small table or counter for supplies, an IV stand we bring ourselves, and enough light to place a line safely. There is no plumbing, no equipment to plug in, and no power required for a standard gravity infusion. Guests already sitting in a hair or makeup chair can usually stay in it once the line is running. We bring our own sharps container and biohazard bag, and both leave with the clinician, so the room is photograph-ready before anyone starts on detail shots. In a compact Carmel-by-the-Sea rental we work from a corner of the living room. In a larger suite at Carmel Valley Ranch or Quail Lodge, a second bedroom or the patio works well when the weather is cooperating. How a full party moves through a single station
The limiting factor is not the length of the infusion. Intake and placing a line take a few minutes per guest; the drip then runs on its own while the clinician starts the next person. A Basic Boost runs forty minutes, Forever Young about thirty-five, the Shark Attack hangover drip forty. Several guests can be infusing at the same time under one clinician's supervision, which is why a party moves faster than the individual session times suggest. How many guests one station handles in a morning depends on how many clinicians we staff and how much of your timeline we have, and we put both in writing when we quote your date rather than promising a number here. What helps most: give us a start time at least ninety minutes before hair and makeup have to finish, and a rough order of who goes first. Brides usually go early. Anyone travelling that morning goes last.
Choosing drips for a party that wants different things
The bride, the maid of honor who has been up since five, and the groomsman who closed the welcome party do not need the same bag. The Basic Boost is 1000 ml in forty minutes at $160 and is the workhorse of most wedding parties. The Shark Attack hangover drip is a liter over forty minutes at $200, and a Myer's Cocktail runs $175 to $195. For anyone who genuinely cannot sit for half an hour, a methylcobalamin B-12 injection is $35 and takes ten minutes, and Lipo B is $50 in fifteen. Collect choices in advance where you can. We arrive with what was ordered, and same-day swaps depend on what is on the cart.
Who administers, and how each guest is cleared
Every infusion is placed and monitored by a licensed physician assistant. Before anything runs, each guest completes intake: medical history, current medications, allergies, pregnancy status where relevant, and a blood pressure check. Some guests will be declined, and that is the system working. A wellness drip is not appropriate for everyone, and we would rather tell your maid of honor no than start something we should not. Consent forms go out in advance so the morning is treatment rather than paperwork. Intake happens quietly, out of earshot of the room where possible, and nothing a guest discloses goes back to the couple or to you. Be clear with your party about what this is: hydration and nutrient replacement. It does not treat, cure or prevent any illness, and nobody on our team will suggest otherwise in your getting-ready room.
Lead time, deposits and how the group is billed
Two billing models cover almost every wedding. Host-paid puts the whole morning on one invoice to the couple or the planner, which is simplest when the drips are part of the gift to the party. Guest-paid means each person settles their own treatment on site, which keeps the wedding budget clean and lets people opt out without a conversation. This is self-pay either way; we do not bill insurance. A travel fee applies on top of treatment prices for any mobile visit and is confirmed when we quote your event, along with the deposit, the change cutoff and the staffing for your date.
