Who Administers Your Event IVs, and Under What Supervision

If you are responsible for an event, the vendor question that matters most is not what is in the bag. It is who is putting a needle in your guests, what license they hold, and what happens in the ten percent of cases that do not go smoothly. Vivere Drip Therapy answers that plainly: licensed physician assistants deliver every infusion and every injection we provide, on site as well as in clinic. There is no tier of the service staffed by unlicensed technicians. This page sets out how guests are screened before anything is started, what the team carries for safety, how staffing levels are calculated for your headcount, and what documentation we can put in front of a venue or a risk manager before the day.

Licensed Physician Assistants Place Every Line

Every infusion and injection at a Vivere event is administered by a licensed physician assistant. That is deliberate, because scope of practice is the whole point: the training required to start a line and the training required to assess the guest attached to it are not the same thing. In California, physician assistants practice under a written agreement with a supervising physician, and our event service operates within that framework rather than as a separate, looser arrangement. The practical difference shows up in the awkward moments: a guest who mentions a cardiac history at the table, a difficult stick, a formula that needs adjusting because of a medication they only remember when asked. A clinician with assessment training makes those calls on the spot. A technician has to phone someone. At a paddock at Laguna Seca or a suite above Pebble Beach, the difference is not academic.

Every Guest Is Screened Before Anything Is Started

Group setting or not, each guest is screened individually before an infusion begins. That means a review of medical history, current medications, allergies and previous reactions, pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant, and a set of vital signs. It takes a few minutes per person and it is not a formality we can compress to keep a queue moving. Screening exists to produce the outcome organisers rarely plan for: sometimes the answer is no. A guest with uncontrolled hypertension, certain cardiac or renal histories, or a relevant allergy may be declined on the day, and that decision belongs to the clinician rather than to the host or the guest. Build a few minutes of slack into your run of show for it. Organisers who present screening to guests in advance as a normal part of the service get far less friction at the table than those who spring it on people mid-event.

What the Team Carries, and the Escalation Path

Our clinicians arrive with the supplies for the treatments booked plus the equipment needed if a guest reacts badly, including emergency medication for an allergic reaction, monitoring capability and a sharps container. All biohazard waste leaves with the team. The response plan is simple and it is the same at a Carmel Valley Ranch lawn as it is in the clinic: stop the infusion, assess and treat, and escalate to 911 and the nearest emergency department if the situation warrants it. For remote venues this deserves your attention as an organiser, not just ours. A Big Sur shoot location or a coastal estate off 17-Mile Drive has a longer ambulance response than downtown Monterey, and we will want to know the access route, the nearest gate a vehicle can reach and whether cell coverage exists at the setup point before we confirm.

How Many Clinicians Your Event Actually Needs

Staffing is arithmetic, not a ratio we apply from a table. It is your guest count multiplied by time per treatment, divided by the length of the window you want covered, with turnover between guests included. A wedding party of eight taking Forever Young, the Beauty Treatment, 1000 ml over about thirty-five minutes at $315, is a very different staffing problem from forty conference attendees taking B-12 injections across a two-hour break. NAD Body Refresh at ninety minutes changes the maths again, because those chairs are occupied for most of a morning. We build the staffing figure from your real mix and put it in the quote, and we would rather tell you that your window is too short than send one clinician to an event that needed two and let your schedule absorb the failure.

Verification for Venues and Risk Managers

Larger properties and event organisations increasingly want vendor credentials on file before load-in, and motorsport paddocks, golf clubs and hotel groups often have the strictest requirements of all. Ask us early rather than during setup. When you request a quote, tell us exactly what your venue's compliance process demands and who at the property receives it, and we will confirm in writing what documentation we are able to supply for your event and in what timeframe. That conversation is far easier three weeks out than on a Thursday morning at a gate. It also pairs with the consent and liability side of the booking, which your venue will usually raise in the same email. If your risk manager wants to speak to a clinician directly before signing off, ask; we would rather answer than have your event stall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a nurse, a technician or a physician assistant at my event?

A licensed physician assistant. Every infusion and injection we provide, at an event or in either clinic, is administered by a PA rather than by an unlicensed technician. There is no cheaper tier of our service staffed differently. If a vendor comparison you are running quotes a lower price, it is worth asking that provider the same question in writing before you compare the two.
